Precision, Clearly Communicated
Role
Brand identity, messaging support, visual system, and sales/website materials
Challenge
Schaffer had strong manufacturing capabilities, but its messaging and visual presence were not fully communicating that value to customers. The brand needed to better reflect the precision, durability, and technical expertise behind its work while positioning Schaffer as more than a general fabricator.
Process
The work started with defining how Schaffer should communicate its value across heavy fabrication, sheet metal fabrication, Hardox® wear parts, design support, manufacturing, and inventory management. The focus was on shaping a more direct message around quality, lead time, cost efficiency, equipment performance, and reducing downtime. From there, I developed a visual system that felt industrial, credible, and flexible enough to support sales and digital materials.
Solution
The refreshed brand gave Schaffer a stronger, more consistent way to present its capabilities. Updated messaging, stronger typography, cleaner layouts, and a more structured visual system helped position the company as a precision manufacturing partner built for demanding industries. The updated system clarified Schaffer’s fabrication expertise, material knowledge, and industry experience while supporting a 24% increase in qualified RFQ inquiries.
